Kamilaroi Highway Incident

Walgett Shire Council acknowledges the tragic death of a worker this afternoon on the Kamilaroi Highway near Cryon. We offer our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues who have been impacted by their passing.

We can confirm the worker is not an employee of Council. Safework NSW has been notified and we are cooperating with relevant authorities in the investigation.
