Documents on Public Exhibition

DRAFT POLICIES

It was resolved at the Council Meeting held on Tuesday 26 November 2024 to place the following policies on public exhibition:

• Draft Complaints Management Policy(PDF, 205KB)
• Draft Fraud and Corruption Prevention Policy(PDF, 207KB)
• Draft Gifts and Benefits Policy(PDF, 207KB)
• Draft Legislative Compliance Policy(PDF, 100KB)
• Draft Restricting Access to Council Facilities Policy(PDF, 155KB)
• Draft Sustainable Procurement, Contracts and Disposal Policy(PDF, 203KB)
• Draft Code of Meeting Practice(PDF, 652KB)
• Draft Code of Conduct(PDF, 2MB)

Council now invites the community to view and comment on the draft documents and make written submissions from Monday 2 December 2024 until Friday 10 January 2024 until 4.00pm. Noting an extension of the usual public exhibition period to accommodate for the public holidays and office closures.   

Hard copies are also available for public viewing at:

• Walgett – Council Office at 77 Fox Street
• Lightning Ridge – Council Office at Shop 4, 12 Opal Street
• Collarenebri – Council Agency at 37-39 Wilson Street

Council encourages all community members and groups to review the drafts and submit any feedback or concerns for consideration. All submissions will be reviewed by Council and discussed at a future meeting. Please note that submissions will not be treated as confidential.
