Collarenebri Grandstand Update

Walgett Shire Council regrets to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances beyond Council’s control, the Collarenebri grandstand and its facilities will not be opening for the foreseeable future.

Structural defects have been identified, rendering the building unsafe for use. In the interest of public safety, the Council is taking swift action to secure the premises and restrict access to the grandstand until further notice.

The safety and well-being of all individuals involved are Council’s top priorities, and Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause. Updates regarding the situation will be provided as they become available.
